2025 Girard Art Walk Press Release
May 19, 2025 – Girard, PA – The Girard Art Walk is back for its 4th annual event on Friday,
June 6, transforming downtown Girard into a vibrant, one-night-only celebration of local art,
music, and community. From 4 to 10 PM, more than 40 artists from northwestern Pennsylvania
and northeast Ohio will showcase their work inside local businesses and community spaces,
making art accessible to all in a free, walkable festival format.
Founded in 2021 by Abi Pooler and Gina Welsh, the Girard Art Walk has quickly become a West
County favorite, highlighting the rich creative spirit of the region. This year’s event features
visual art exhibitions, live music, spoken word performances, and an expanded lineup of food
and drink vendors—all curated to inspire and connect the community.
“Our goal is to shine a spotlight on both local artists and the amazing businesses here in Girard,”
said Simone Welsh, event director. “The Art Walk is a chance for people to come together,
discover new talent, and celebrate everything that makes our community special.”
Event Highlights Include:
● Over 20 artists exhibiting in unique venues across Girard
● Live performances from local musicians and poets
● Food trucks including The Cakery Café, E-Doggs, Sisi’s Lunchbox, and Atacolypse
● Adult beverages from Full Circle Winery and Twisted Elk Brewery
● Free raffle entry for visitors who stamp their event map at each location
● Featured venues include the Rice Avenue Library and the Hagen History Center’s Yellow
House, among many other historic sites.
The event is free and open to the public. Artwork will be available for purchase directly from the
artists, who retain 100% of proceeds.
“Our hope is that visitors leave inspired—not just by the art, but by the energy and hospitality of
our town,” said co-founder Gina Welsh. “This is more than an art show—it’s a celebration of
Girard.”
