“Conversations Abandoned” currently on view in Wells Park for the 2025 Girard Art Walk, is a 7ft x 4ft mixed metal sculpture inspired by a dream. This piece asks the questions, “What conversations would happen among the clouds? Do you think the clouds will remember? Would looking at the world from a distance make the hard questions easier to answer?”

My drive to create feels very playful honoring my inner child and also very willing and capable of new ways of doing. Welding, molding, and shaping steel while working in fabrication has influenced the way I view art and creativity. I want my art to merge vulnerable ideas with strength and size while also working to make functional shelves, tables, and other useable goods that meld organic materials, metal, and my imagination.
