Chris Davis is a 29 year old Fine Artist & Art Instructor located in Ashtabula County, Ohio. His artwork ranges from realism styles such as portrait work and landscapes to styles such as surrealism, impressionism, cubism, and abstract. Chris primarily works with Acrylic Paints but also dabbles in Oil Paints and other mixed medias. He began selling his artwork during his Junior High School years to friends and family. By his High School and College years, he had a solid and supportive local clientele base. Then over the past 7 years, has grown to have customers from around North America. So far he has sold Artwork to clients in all 50 states as well as Canada and Mexico, with thousands of paintings and prints sold.
Chris Davis has been instructing Art Classes since 2014 and is the current Art Director and Art Teacher for After School Discovery, teaching K-8th grade within the Ashtabula Area City Schools district. He is also an Instructor for the Conneaut Arts Center, where he served on the Board of Directors for five years and held the title of President of the Board for three consecutive terms. He has also held the title of Director of Visual Arts for many years. Chris teaches art classes all throughout Northeast Ohio, everywhere from Cleveland, Chardon, Madison, Roaming Shores, Conneaut, Geneva, Kingsville, Jefferson, and Ashtabula. He is also a guest art instructor for the Sisters of Notre Dame. Additionally, Chris has led numerous Paint Party fundraisers for different local charities and organizations, raising money to support multiple amazing causes. To date, Chris has taught well over a thousand Art Classes, Courses, Workshops, Paint Parties, and Lectures. He has taught classes as small as personalized one on one lessons to leading groups of over 125 participants, and every size in between.
Along with his careers as an Art Teacher and Visual Artist, Chris has been involved with a variety of other artistic projects within the local community. He was the Art Director for the Musical at Edgewood High School in 2020 and worked as the Assistant Art Director for six years prior to that, painting backdrops and stage pieces for the performances. He has also held local gallery shows and displays exhibiting his artwork and oftentimes participates in local events for the arts, such as “Art in the Alley”, “The Arts on Bridge Street”, and “The Girard Art Walk”. Throughout the years, he been a consulting artist on a handful of local community projects, murals, etc. and has been a judge for local visual art competitions. Chris has also participated in artist panel discussions and local television interviews regarding his career, classes, and artwork.
