“My work is rooted in a deep love for family, connection, and the moments that leave lasting marks on our lives. Through fine art equine photography, I strive to capture more than an image. I seek to preserve the emotion, trust, and unspoken bond between horses and the people who love them. Based in Northwestern Pennsylvania and serving Western New York and surrounding areas, I create artwork that honors these relationships with honesty, beauty, and soul.”
– Carrie Duckett
What began as a passion while traveling with my husband and photographing the world around us became something far more meaningful when others began to see themselves reflected in my work. The response was deeply personal and inspiring, reminding me that photography has the power to hold onto what time so quickly tries to take away. Every piece I create is driven by the desire to transform fleeting moments into lasting memories people can feel every time they walk past them.
Recently, my piece Resolute was selected for Artscape Fredonia 2026 through North Shore Arts Alliance, sponsored by Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, where it was displayed as a large public banner alongside twenty-five regional artists. I was also honored to be accepted into the juried Wild Wind Folk and Art Festival this fall. In June 2027, my exhibition Endangered will be featured at Crary Art Gallery.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: the most meaningful photographs are the ones that allow us to return to a feeling, a connection, and a moment we never want to lose.
